2024 International Chinese Language Day Event

The University of Nairobi celebrated the International Chinese Language at Chandaria Auditorium on Thursday, April 18,  2024. The event saw a collaboration between the University of Nairobi and Nanjing University with instructors and players of the traditional Instrument Orchestra of Nanjing University performing in a bid to promote diversity, beauty, and harmony.

INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC POLICY ASSOCIATION (IPPA) SUMMER SCHOOL-NAIROBI EDITION

 Tuesday, April 18, 2023, the University of Nairobi  through the Department of Political Science and Public Administration hosted for the first time in Africa the International Public Policy Association (IPPA) summer school-Nairobi edition which was attended by participants from different universities across three continents and more than ten countries among them master’s degree students. 

Women Economic Empowerment in the Changing World of Work and Entrepreneurship During and After COVID-19.

The Department of Anthropology, Gender and African Studies within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, University of Nairobi, held the 5th Conference on the Status of African Women during the 5th UoN Research Week. This year's theme: Women’s Economic Empowerment in the Changing World of Work and Entrepreneurship During and After COVID-19.

65th UoN Graduation Ceremony

“Let us refuse to be prisoners of history and deliberately prepare ourselves for the journey ahead. Like Martin Luther King Jr, we may not have the whole staircase, but we ought to take the first step in faith.” Emphasized Dr. Vijoo Rattansi, OGW, Chancellor, the University of Nairobi at the 65th graduation ceremony.

 

Dr. Rattansi encouraged the class of 2021 that graduation presents an opportunity to start afresh and to embark on new beginnings.
