7000 Seedlings planted on Annual Tree Planting and Growing Day

The University community and its partners gathered and planted 7000 tree seedlings on Friday, May 13, 2022, on the Annual Tree Planting and Growing Day.

Equity Group Foundation,County Government, National Government,  Shamba Café, Loresho Community and Association of Green champions joined the university to plant and grow trees.

Like Martin Luther King Jr, we may not have the whole staircase, but we ought to take the first step in faith.” Emphasized Dr. Vijoo Rattansi, OGW, Chancellor, the University of Nairobi at the 65th graduation ceremony.

 

Dr. Rattansi encouraged the class of 2021 that graduation presents an opportunity to start afresh and to embark on new beginnings.

4,778 First Years Admitted to Faculty of Social Sciences

The Faculty of Social Sciences has admitted  4,778 first-year students for the Academic Calendar 2021/22. The first years reported on Monday, September 20, 2021. This is inclusive of Module I and II students and comprises of Diploma, Undergraduate, postgraduate diploma, Masters and PhD students. 

The students will be taken through orientation the whole week. The orientation will be to a large extent Faculty-based. Thus, students will be exposed in detail to the facilities in their respective Faculties and Campuses, and in general to those of the entire University.
