On March 29th, the University of Nairobi marked a significant milestone by hosting the 51st inaugural lecture of Prof. Peter Anyanga O. Wasamba, at Taifa Hall, who was recently elevated to full professorship. In this lecture, he shared his groundbreaking research on We Are Not Mentally Ill: Deconstructing the ‘Mad Genius’ Trope in Literature, exploring literature's role in shaping societal values, beliefs, and intellectual discourse.

On 14th March 2025, the Department of Diplomacy and International Studies, in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Regional Office (Kenya and Somalia missions), successfully hosted a high-level panel discussion at MLT 402, University Towers.

Today, the University of Nairobi hosted the opening of the Kenya Population and Development Conference (KPDC 2025) at UoN Towers. Themed “Navigating the Future: Population Dynamics and Sustainable Development in Kenya,” the three-day event brings together experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to discuss key demographic challenges and opportunities.
