The University community and its partners gathered and planted 7000 tree seedlings on Friday, May 13, 2022, on the Annual Tree Planting and Growing Day.
Equity Group Foundation,County Government, National Government, Shamba Café, Loresho Community and Association of Green champions joined the university to plant and grow trees.
Scientists from the University of Nairobi have attained 18 positions in the coveted top 50 rankings nationally in the 2022 rankings by the Alper- Dodger (AD) scientific index. A total of 538,497 scientists globally were ranked in the 2022 AD scientific Index.
The University of Nairobi held its Faculty and Campus Students Association (FCSA) annual elections. The elections were held virtually on Friday March 25th, 2022.
There were three teams competing for FCSA office in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences FOASS; Team Success, Team Okuz and Team Integrity.
The University of Nairobi Students Association (UNSA) in partnership with UoN Women Students Welfare Association (WOSWA), Millennium and UN Women organized a youth gender dialogue under the theme: Gender stereotyping and sexism.

Dr. Rattansi encouraged the class of 2021 that graduation presents an opportunity to start afresh and to embark on new beginnings.
