The highlight of the orientation week is the address by the Vice Chancellor on Thursday, 22nd September, 2022 at 2:00pm at Taifa Hall. However, the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences held a virtual Dean’s address where the faculty officials led by the Dean, Associate Dean, Chairman of Departments, and Faculty Registrar on Wednesday, September 21 2022.

Since the COVID Pandemic begin in 2019, the University of Nairobi had been forced to embrace Online mode of learning. As COVID 19 restrictions are getting lifted slowly and life is coming back to normal. The University of Nairobi is slowly embracing physical learning.

Further to previous communication on commencement of learning for the 2022/2023 Academic Year, it is clarified that the following will be the mode of learning for the respective group. 

Rigathi Gachagua, Kenya’s Deputy President is an alumnus of the University of Nairobi. Hon. Gachagua studied Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Literature from 1985- 1988. He graduated in 1988.
