The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) has officially welcomed the newly elected student leadership team, Team Omoke Thunderss, following the 2026 University of Nairobi Students Association (UNSA) elections.

The elections were conducted through the e-ballot system on Friday, May 22, 2026, with students across the University participating in the democratic process. In FASS, Team Omoke Thunderss emerged victorious and will lead the Faculty Students Association for the 2026/2027 term.

The new leadership team comprises:

• Orwaru Omoke Delick – Chairperson
• Nur Salma Abdi – Vice-Chairperson
• Seiko Trevor Charles – Secretary General
• Wangechi Euphresia – Treasurer
• Daniel Musukuni – Sports & Social Welfare Representative
• Boniface Pkiach – PWD Representative
• Bol Judy – International Students Representative

During the swearing-in ceremony held at Taifa Hall on Saturday, May 23, 2026, University leadership congratulated all elected student leaders and encouraged them to embrace integrity, accountability, and servant leadership.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Ayub Gitau urged the student leaders to promote unity and responsible leadership while serving the interests of students. The newly elected UNSA President, Ahmed Rashid Burrow, also emphasized collective leadership and commitment to improving student welfare across the University.
