On 19th September 2024, the University of Nairobi Geography Students Society (UNGSS), in collaboration with the University of Nairobi Geography Department, Icon Radio, Sustainability Connect, and Sprouting Green, hosted a successful Eco Tour at the Hyslop Building. The event aimed to engage students and the broader community in discussions about sustainability and innovation.

The Eco Tour featured two insightful panel discussions. The first panel, "Innovative Solutions for a Sustainable Future," included Jane Achieng (Sustainability and ESG Specialist), Purity Simiyu (Muenza Limited), Dr. Isaack Ndolo (University of Nairobi Lecturer), and Mr. Ndogoni Kinyajui (University of Nairobi Lecturer), who highlighted creative solutions and the role of innovation in sustainability.

The second panel, "Sustainability as a Business Opportunity," featured Dr. Bernard Majani (University of Nairobi Lecturer), Beryl Mulwale (Muenza Limited), and Dr. Paritah Shah (University of Nairobi Lecturer and Patron of UNGSS). They discussed how businesses can capitalize on sustainability for growth while contributing to environmental conservation.

The event successfully emphasized the importance of integrating sustainability into both academic and business practices, offering valuable insights to students and professionals alike.

The Eco Tour held  at the University of Nairobi hyslop building room  H312 was a significant event that provided an excellent platform for knowledge exchange on sustainability.
