This thematic area covers the following courses: Theory of Translation, Practical Translating, Audio-visual Translation, Terminology Development for Translators, Translating in Specialized Fields, Text Typology and Translation, Literary Translation, Translation and Emerging Global Issues, Research Methods in Translation, International Organizations and Translation, Language Description, Precis Writing and Editing, Information Technology for Translation, Discourse Analysis in Translation, Comparative Stylistics in Translation, Intercultural Communication and Translation Ethics.
Bachelors Degree (from any academic discipline) with:
- (Upper 2nd Class Division and above or equivalent, or Lower 2nd Class Division with at least 2years working experience) or equivalent, or a Pass degree with 5 years working experience or equivalent.
- Must be highly proficient in English and at least one relevant language from among: Kiswahili, French, Spanish, Arabic.
Pre-qualified applicants must sit and pass an aptitude test before admission.
